CORFU. The 14th Corfu Masquerade Treasure Hunt took place yesterday.

There was lovely weather yesterday as hundreds of youngsters dashed around the town through the narrow alleyways searching for clues about the town's history - asking the older men and women what certain words in the local vernacular meant and trying to solve puzzles!

There are no winners and losers in a treasure hunt - everyone gains something from this wonderful experience! Children run, play, learn to work together as a team with healthy rivalry and at the end of the day learn something.

Nevertheless, the official winner was the team 'Oti nane' ('Whatever') with 595 points. Second equal were the teams 'Mantio' ('Oracle') and 'Anonymous' with 570 points. 'Mantio' won the Puzzle Prize and the team 'Barbie Doll' won the prize for the best costumes - second prize went to 'Mantises tou Skotous' (Oracles of Darkness'.

Warm congratulations to all the participants for their imagination, creativity and enthusiasm!
