Regional Governor meets with Avliotes Cultural Society to discuss co-organizing events and the Avliotes Museum

CORFU. The new board of Avliotes Cultural Society met with the Ionian Islands Regional Governor.
The new board of Avliotes Cultural Society met with the Regional Governor Theodoros Galiatsatos at his office yesterday afternoon. The main topic of discussion was the co-organization of events by the Society and the Regional Administration as well as the renovation of Avliotes Folklore Museum which all the Cultural Societies in the area use for cultural events.
"We have an obligation to continue the successful and creative work of Avliotes Cultural Society which for 40 years - since 1979 - has been passing on its cultural heritage to the younger generation," said Mr. Galiatsatos.
He went on to say, "The strong presence of Cultural Societies strengthens, promotes, supports and preserves our cultural heritage..."
Also present at the meeting was the Deputy Regional Governor for Social Policy (Social Welfare, Solidarity, Volunteerism and Employment) Alexandros Michalas.
