CORFU. Parents have been forced to repair and clean the toilets their children use themselves as they couldn΄t see any municipal funds coming any time soon.
With money from the Parents & Guardians Association and personal labour they started to fix the school toilets.
The Corfu Music School PGA posted the following: "At the weekend 12 & 13 January members of the Association Board went to the school to make the toilets that our children use decent and human. Having drawn up a list of what was needed and bought it COMPLETELY FROM OUR ASSOCIATION FUNDS, we went to the school and unclogged the drains, took down all the doors and used sanders on them. we then replaced missing tiles, painted all the doors, put in new mirrors and did plumbing repairs. Following all this we cleaned the place up. The work hasn't been completed and we'll be going back next weekend."
