Local organizations and elected representatives hold discussion in Acharavi about division of Corfu Municipality

There was a meeting in Acharavi on Sunday to discuss the issue of the moment - whether or not Corfu Municipality should be divided up. The meeting was called by the local council and its President Christos Anemoyiannis.

Also present at the meeting were Corfu SYRIZA MP Kostas Pavlidis and Regional Councillor Christos Anthis, local Deputy Mayors, local community presidents from the north, representatives from cultural and sports societies and former local authority representatives.

There was a wide-ranging and serious discussion which ended up with a unanimous vote in favour of the creation of a North Corfu Municipality (Esperion, Thinalion, Agios Georgios and Kassiopi districts).
