The first of Gastouri ΄Omonia΄ Philharmonic Band΄s Austrian concerts, which took place in Bad Ischl, was a great success.

The concert, which coincided with the 120th anniversary of both the death of Princess Sissy and the foundation of the 'Omonia' band, took place in the Kurpark and in his welcome address the Mayor of the town greeted "One of the most historical philharmonic bands in Greece which has even performed at Broadway!" There was a special reception for the Corfu band prior to the concert.

The 'Omonia' dance group was warmly applauded by the Austrian audience especially when performing 'Zorba'!

Yesterday evening the band performed at the famous Kaiserpark - an especially emotional occasion as a descendant of Princess Sissy was in the audience.

He said he was especially happy to meet them and he was photographed with conductor Spyros Rallis and members of the board, declaring that he had greatly enjoyed the performance.

The Mayor of Bad Ischl was once again at the performance wearing the region's traditional costume.

The Philharmonic Band will be putting on their third and final performance tonight at the famous Congresshaus.
