Archbishop of Albania visits Capodistrias Museum

CORFU. Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania, who is in Corfu as guest of honour at the 1st International Conference for Ionian Islands Expatriates, visited the Capodistrias Museum.
The Archbishop was given a guided tour by the Museum's Curator Daria Koskorou and historical consultant Dimitris Zimaris.
This wonderful venue in Koukouritsa, Central Corfu, was the Capodistrias family estate and the life of the First Governor of Modern Greece can be seen here - from his childhood years to his assassination in Nafplion.
The Archbishop was presented with a special Museum Medal by the Chairman of the Board Spyros Padovas.
Archbishop Anastasios wrote in the visitors' book: "The great Capodistrias was always a point of reference for me from a young age. He sought the Absolute, loved Christ and expressed his love for others with kindness and self-sacrifice."
