Port Authority assists with speedboat adrift off Othoni Island

OTHONI. On Thursday night the Port Search and Rescue Coordination Centre received information from its Italian counterpart about a speedboat with four foreign nationals aboard that was adrift 9.6 nautical miles west of Othoni Island.
The Port Authorities in Corfu and Othoni were informed immediately and three patrol boats were able to locate the speedboat, which was sailing under the Italian flag.
The vessel was safely escorted by the patrol boats to Othoni port.
