Marquee has arrived at Corfu Port. New terminal to open by 10 August!

CORFU. The new marquee covers an area of 1,000 square metres on the northern side of the port and they are working full-out to get it ready to provide better service for cruise ship passengers.
The Corfu Port Authority board decided that this addition was necessary due to the congestion in the current terminal, especially on days when there are several cruise ships in port and consequently a large number of passengers disembarking for a day visit.
The total cost comes to 350,000 Euros and the new terminal is equipped with air-conditioning as well as all the necessary furnishings (chairs, tables, desks, water coolers etc.). According to Corfu Port Authority, it will be ready to receive passengers by 10 August and the finishing touches to the flooring will be completed in autumn after the end of the high season.
Cruise companies - mainly those that start their cruises in Corfu - have already expressed their satisfaction with this investment by Corfu Port Authority which will ensure that all security and passport control procedures can be carried out more comfortably for the passengers.
