Temploni residents take photos to the Prosecutor

CORFU. The Prosecutor proposed that the residents have a meeting at her office with Mayor Nikolouzos and Deputy Mayor Aspiotis.
The Prosecutor, Ms Tataki, once again took on the role of 'firefighter' when speaking to Temploni residents and representatives from the Cultural Society who came to her office to present the present situation at Temploni landfill.
The Society President, Magda Papanikolopoulou, told Enimerosi, "We showed the Prosecutor the photos we have and explained the present situation to her. We are not going to give in this time - the law has to be observed by both sides."
Regarding Mr. Skourletti's statement
Ms Papanikolopoulou commented on the reply Mr. Skourletti (Minister of the Interior) gave to a journalist, "There is no question of breaking the law by transferring waste from on Region to another." She said, "How is it possible for a Minister to say that when so many illegal actions have been committed at Temploni landfill."

The Prosecutor suggested that the Temploni residents have a meeting with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Cleanliness at her office. The residents will meet this evening to decide whether or not they agree to meet with them.
