The ΄Thomas Flaginis΄ Choir from the Anemomylos Cultural and Environmental Society visted Venice from 22 to 24 April, having been invited by the local community of Orthodox Greeks.

On the name day of St. George, 23 April, the choir chanted in the Church of St. George during the service led by the Orthodox Archbishop of Italy Gennadios and then gave a concert outside the church. A large number of Greeks living in Venice attended both these performances.

The choir also had the opportunity to visit the building which housed the Flaginis College and were given a guided tour of the Museum of the Greek Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Studies Institute by the Institute Director and Emeritus Professor of Ioannina University, Giorgos Ploumidis.

Corfu Town Councillor Dimitris Metallinos accompanied the choir on the visit to Venice.
