Greek ombudsman coming to Corfu

CORFU. A team from the ombudsman΄s office will be visiting the Ionian Islands Regional Administration on Wednesday 25th April. Specialists and assistant ombudsmen from the independent authority will be conducting inspections and investigation following reports from members of the public as well as working meetings with local authorities and community representatives.
On Friday 27th April the ombudsman Andreas Pottakis will visit Corfu. He will meet with Mayor Kostas Nikolouzos and Regional Governor Theodoros Galiatsatos.
The visit to the Ionian Islands Regional Administration is part of a broader monitoring and inspection programme being conducted by the independent authority in all the regions of the country. The first round of visits will be completed by the end of 2018, when the ombudsman's office will have been operating for 20 years.
