CORFU. The dead woman, Eleni Spitieri-Panaretou, was taken to hospital after having being shot in the stomach.
56-year-old Eleni Spitieri - Panaretou was already dead when taken to the hospital after having been shot in the stomach. The tragic incident happened at around 16:30 on Sunday at a celebration party in Ag. Yianni.
Relatives took the victim to the hospital, where her death was confirmed. Police sources say that the initial indications are that it was an accident. The gunshot was from a pistol that was fired at a celebration party for a christening.
