Fishermen left speechless when they saw wild boars swimming in the Ionian Sea!
Two fishermen from Ilia couldn’t believe their eyes when instead of catching bream in the sea, they caught ….. wild boars!
As the fishermen were pulling in their catch they spotted two wild boars swimming in the sea next to their boat!
One of the fishermen told apokalypseis.com, “We crossed ourselves and turned the boat towards them. The two animals were swimming in the sea about two nautical miles from the coast. It seemed they had become disoriented. We stopped fishing and slowly guided them towards the coast. After some time they were able to come out onto the shore. We found out that they belonged to someone’s farm and had gone into the sea because they were afraid of a dog that was chasing them. The farmer then came and thanked us.”
“It’s a good job we took photos and a video as proof of our unexpected encounter!” he laughingly added. “Otherwise they would have just said that we’d been smoking some of our region’s well-known ‘heavy’ cigarettes!”
