NATO Air and Naval exercise in progress north of Corfu

ATHENS. The NATO exercise Dynamic Manta 2018 is in progress at the moment and according to information will continue until March 16.
5,00 sailors and airmen are taking part and NATO has called it the larg
est exercise of its kind. The international minesweeper squadron which is expected in Corfu next weekend is also participating in the exercise.
The scenario is that the ships try to locate the submarines and that the submarines evade them and make strikes against the surface vessels.
9 ships, 6 submarines, 10 helicopters and 10 naval aircraft are involved in the exercise. The Greek frigate 'Elli' and submarine 'Matrozos' are amongst those taking part.
