CEPHALONIA. There was 4.8 Richter earthquake south of Cephalonia just before 2:00 early this morning.
There was a 4.8 Richter earthquake at 1:44 on Thursday 22nd west of Zakynthos and south of Cephalonia According to the Geodynamic Institute at the National Observatory in Athens.
The epicentre was located 42km north west of Argostoli and had a depth of 5km.
The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) assessed the strength as being 5.2 Richter.
