CORFU. The Central Corfu Residents Action Committee is calling for a public meeting along with the Temploni Residents’ Cultural Society ‘Panayia Sparmiotissa’.
Central Corfu Residents Action Committee announcement:
Following the 10-day deadline given by residents of Temploni and the wider area, the Central Corfu Residents Action Committee calls the two Temploni Societies - the Cultural Society and ‘Panayia Sparmiotissa’ – along with all the local organizations and cultural societies from Central Corfu to a public meeting on Sunday 11th February at 11.30am in Temploni Square, in order to coordinate further mobilization in light of the crucial situation.
‘Panayia Sparmiotissa’ announcement:
The ‘Panayia Sparmiotissa’ Cultural Society for Temploni and the Ropa Valley, following the unanimous decision of the board, has decided to link up with the Central Corfu Residents Action Committee. We are joining forces in order to achieve our ultimate goal which is to find a solution to the major problem in our area - the Temploni landfill. We will assist in any form of action.
