LONDON.During the press conference of the Greek Tourism Minister, Elena Kountoura, at the World Travel Market in London, Joanna Lumley was invited to speak about her personal experiences in Greece.
Lumley visited several Greek islands while filming for the UK TV documentary ‘Greek Odyssey’, which focussed on the culture and history of Greece.
“Having been to Greece many times and having travelled the world, I would like to say that I don’t think there is one country, which offers as much diversity, as much history, as much hospitality, as much sheer beauty, as Greece,” Lumley told the media.
“Every time I go there, I am dazzled. Everything I eat there, delights me. Everybody I meet there, enchants me. And I just want to go back… So if you’re not sure where to go… go to Greece,” she said.
