CORFU. On Monday 6 November, InnoPolis - the Centre for Innovation and Culture - together with the Region of Ionian Islands, Municipality of Paxos and the region of Lecce, Italy
are organizing a meeting in Corfu along with other organizations interested in the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.
The meeting is part of the European project, ‘PASSAGE – Public Authorities Supporting low carbon Growth in European maritime border regions’ and will take place in the conference room of the Regional building in Corfu.
The purpose of the meeting is to continue the ongoing dialogue regarding the economy of low carbon dioxide emissions and the adaptation to climate change in the straits of Otranto and Corfu, to the benefit of the citizens.

- Energy communities – prerequisites for their foundation, occasioned by the upcoming vote on the relevant legislation and the exploitation of renewable sources of energy to enable energy autonomy, especially on the islands.
- Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as ship fuel and other marine innovations aimed at reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
