CORFU.Corfu seaman are continuing their strike for another 48 hours.
At their general assembly this afternoon the Union of Corfu Seamen decided to declare another 48-hour strike. The seamen on the ferry boats between Corfu, Igoumenitsa, Paxos and the Diapontia Islands haven’t had a response to their demands from the ship owners and are still waiting for a written response from the Marine Ministry, particularly as regards the covered ferry boats being tied up during the winter months.
The new 48-hour strike will end on Saturday 4 November at 6am.
