Kavalouri dance group performs in Hungary
CORFU. Under the guidance of their teacher Marilena Kanta, the dancers΄ performances were excellent.
With a rich collection of beautiful moments and memories, Kavalouri 'Angelos Giallinas' Cultural Society returned to the island after its successful participation in the international festival 'Autumn Tale Budafest'. The event took place in Szentendre, Hungary, on November 9.

The group completed a six-day road trip filled with laughter, joy, and playful teasing, travelling through four countries (Hungary, Serbia, Austria, North Macedonia), bringing back the best memories of an enchanting ‘fairy tale.’

The performance of the dancers from the Kavalouri Cultural Society and the Gastouri 'Omonia' Philharmonic Band, under the guidance of their teacher Marilena Kanta, was excellent. Their presence stood out among 26 dance groups from around the world. The Society’s Board of Directors wishes all participants continued success and beautiful moments, encouraging them to keep ‘joining hands’ so that their circle may grow ever larger.

Special thanks are extended to Alekos Dimou, Deputy Regional Governor of the Ionian Islands, and to Thanasis Martinos, Vice President of the North Corfu Municipal Council, who travelled with the group and have now become an integral part of the team and the company.
Finally, a big thank-you goes to the two drivers, Spyros Handrinos and Kostas Bardis, both for their professionalism and their wonderful character, as well as to the fellow villagers and friends for their support.
The Board of Directors of Kavallouri ‘Angelos Giallinas’ Cultural Society wishes everyone good health and a joyful reunion.
