Christmas magic once again outside Acharavi Town Hall!
CORFU. From Friday 20 December until Friday 3 January.
(North Corfu Municipality) With the central message, “The magic of Christmas is not just the decorations, but the power of love, giving and creativity that brings us all together,” the North Corfu Municipal Christmas Village is opening for the third year running. From Friday, December 20 to Friday, January 3, (starting at 4:00 pm), it transforms into a space filled with light, joy, and festive spirit, where young and old can experience the true essence of Christmas: love, solidarity, and family warmth.
Located in Acharavi Town Hall Square, the heart of North Corfu Municipality, the village will feature:
- A magical Christmas atmosphere brought to life with dazzling lights, music and decorations.
- A meeting point for families, friends and neighbours to foster a sense of community and cooperation.
- Events that highlight local traditions, customs and culture, enriching the festivities with authentic experiences.
- Opportunities to support local businesses and promote the region's cultural heritage.
All ages will find their special "spot" in the Christmas Village, and even the grown-ups can feel like kids again! Awaiting visitors are:
- “The Tale of Colourful Christmas,” entertainment and culture.
- The “Workshop of Emotions,” where children can write letters to Santa.
- “Colourful Creations,” featuring crafts, sweets, treats, food and drinks.
Unique daily events promise unforgettable moments:
- For the first time, a modern ecological skating rink offers a unique roller-skating experience for all ages in a specially-designed area.
- The Festive Train of Joy will roam Acharavi, spreading Christmas cheer.
- Live music and performances by local music ensembles.
- A Stilt Walker bringing smiles and surprises from up high!
- Face painting, transforming participants into elves, angels, or whatever their imagination desires.
- Christmas Delights: Mulled wine, traditional sweets like kourabiedes and melomakarona will fill every corner with holiday aromas.
The Magic of the Christmas Village
Decorated with twinkling lights, the village is a vibrant hub of happiness led by Santa himself. From illuminated houses to delightful aromas of sweets and warm drinks, the village invites everyone to embrace its festive charm.
At its heart, a brilliant skating rink becomes a source of laughter for young and old alike. A Stilt Walker offers a magical perspective, while face painting brings dreams to life. Christmas melodies fill the air, adding to the joy of every day.
A Tradition Since 2022
The Christmas Village has become a beloved, colourful institution in the Municipality of North Corfu. It echoes with the laughter of children, smiles, games and wishes, offering moments of joy that make Christmas warmer and brighter.
Activities and Guests
Artistic groups, associations and clubs will contribute entertainment activities aligned with the Christmas spirit of love, unity, culture, acceptance and peace.
Santa Claus will once again be the special guest, welcoming children (and adults) into his house for chats, photos and letters, which can be placed in the big mailbox destined for the North Pole.

The Colourful Christmas Village in Town Hall Square, Acharavi, will make the municipality's "heart" beat with magic during the year’s most significant celebration, from Friday, December 20, 2024, to Friday, January 3, 2025 (4:00 pm).
