Thanos Mikroutsikos tribute concert

'Mantzaros' Philharmonic Society" is holding a Thanos Mikroutsikos tribute concert.
The concert will take place in front of the Church of St. George, at the old Fortress, on Monday, July 29 at 9:00 p.m.
The evening will be dedicated to the unforgettable and great composer Thanos Mikroutsikos, who often transported us with his music to unique musical paths. This experiential composer, who would want us to remember him only through his work.
Two of his close friends, two great performers, Rita Antonopoulou and Kostas Thomaidis, will join their voices with the musicians of 'Mantzaros' in the songs by Mikroutsikos that we all loved.
At the concert on July 29, his major hits will be performed, with lyrics by the great poets whom he also loved, Yiannis Ritsos, Alkis Alkaios, Kostas Tripolitis, François Villon and, of course, Konstantinos Kavafis.
The concert songs will cover the entire spectrum of Thanos Mikroutsikos' work, from "The Southern Cross," "Anemologio," "The Lines of the Horizons," "Hamlet of the Moon," to "In the Shack of the Century."
The concert will be conducted by Mr. Socrates Anthis.
General admission to the Old Fortress on the day of the concert will be €17, while presale tickets will be €15.
Tickets will be pre-sold from Monday, 15/7, every day, all working days and hours, at "ticketBOX" (Eugenios Voulgaris Street & Montsenigou No. 1), and also every day (except Saturday afternoon and Sunday) at 'Mantzaros' Philharmonic Society (Philharmoniki Street No. 23), from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
