Corfu Car Club organising 1st Concours d’Elegance
CORFU. On the afternoon of May 1st, the cars will be showcased at Spianada, while on Saturday evening (May 2nd), the competition will be held and the winners in each decade category will be announced.
The Corfu Car Club is organising the 1st Concours d’Elegance over the three-day period of May 1–3!
The event is a classic car elegance competition, where the main judging criteria are authenticity, rarity, and the exceptional condition of the vehicles.
Classic and distinctive cars from various parts of Greece will adorn Spianada Square for three days, offering residents and visitors to the island the opportunity to admire up close representatives from different eras and schools of automotive design, in a setting that combines history, architecture, and natural beauty.
The event is part of an effort to highlight motoring culture, following the standards of similar international events, as it has evolved over time from the 1950s to the 1990s through the creation of cars with different specifications and technologies.
According to the event programme, the cars will be showcased at Spianada Square on Friday evening, May 1st, while on Saturday evening, May 2nd, the competition will take place along with the announcement of the winners by decade.
On Sunday morning, the closing ceremony will be held, including awards for supporters and contributors to the event.
The Concours d’Elegance will take place under the auspices of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands, with the support of the Municipality of North Corfu.
Applications open on Saturday, April 18th. Interested participants can get in touch via the page or by phone at 693 27 027 39 (Mr. S. Kontogeorgis).
The application form will be sent by email and, once completed, should be returned to the Club’s email: [email protected]
Further details regarding organizational matters will be announced soon.
