Special night with French Cuisine in Corfu – Wednesday 21st March

ATHENS. For the fourth year running the French Ministry for European and Foreign Affairs along with the renowned chef Alain Ducasse are celebrating the first day of spring, 21st March, with the special event ‘Gout de France – Good France’.

The aim of this initiative is to have one day when everyone can enjoy French cuisine – its traditions and its values – with one special night. On 21st March thousands of chefs and restaurants all over the world will serve their customers with a dinner inspired by the French cuisine. A unique opportunity to get to know and to enjoy the taste of France!

In its first year in 2015, 1,000 restaurants worldwide participated in Goût de France, of which 15 were in Greece.

The number of participants increased yearly:

2016 – 1,500 restaurants worldwide, including 21 in Greece.

2017 – 2,000 restaurants worldwide, including 65 in Greece (in third position).

This year 3,000 restaurants worldwide will be participating and Greece is in second position with 83 restaurants in 21 towns, including two restaurants in Corfu.
