Corfu AHEPA: Excellent scientific workshop on breast cancer
CORFU. The event was held in collaboration with the Corfu Surgical Association and under the auspices of the Corfu Medical Association.
A very interesting scientific workshop on the myths and truths about breast cancer was held in a crowded hall of the Corfu Surgical Association and attracted the interest of dozens of people.
The oncologist-pathologist Evangelos Douvelis, with an excellent presentation, made everything related to this particular condition understandable. Indications, heredity, methods of prevention, ways of treatment and all modern scientific achievements were presented in a way that was understood by everyone.
The coordinator of the event and member of Corfu AHEPA, radiologist Antonis Paschos, spoke about modern imaging methods and the role that artificial intelligence will very soon play in their science and then both of them answered dozens of questions from the audience.
The event was held in collaboration with the Corfu Surgical Association and under the auspices of the Corfu Medical Association, highlighting how such important collaborations are essential for our island and how much successful they are among its residents.
The Corfu branch of AHEPA in collaboration with Mr. Paschos offered five mothers with many children free diagnostic tests and all the bodies promised to organise similar workshops in the future.
Present at the event was the former President of AHEPA Spyros Vassilakis, the Vice Governor of AHEPA Greece Nikos Dimitropoulos and the Vice President of the Corfu Medical Association Pericles Balanikas.
