Road improvement works in Mathraki

CORFU. There are already road improvement works in progress or which have been completed on all three Diapontia islands.
Work is continuing to improve the road networks on the Diapontia Islands. On Wednesday 28 December Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Mayor Meropi Ydraiou signed another contract for work to be done on Mathraki, including technical work, road surfacing and earthworks.
The project is being funded by the Public Investment Programme and will begin immediately with the work expected to be completed in six months.
Meropi Ydraiou said: "We are changing the face of the Diapontia Islands with repair and improvement works and continue to repair and maintain the road networks whilst also improving the public infrastructure. Things are moving forward."
