CORFU. With great pleasure, Corfu ΄Athinagorio΄ 4th Experimental Primary School announced that one its pupils won a Distinguished mention in the contest.
With great pleasure, Corfu 'Athinagorio' 4th Experimental Primary School announced that Mara Nika, 2nd Grade pupil in the Excellence, Creativity and Innovation Group 'Art Education, Museum Education and Development of Artistic Talents', won a Distinguished mention in the Museum of Cycladic Art 9th kids' contest 'KALLOS: For me, this is Beauty'. Several pupils from the school took part under the guidance of art teacher Natalia Kerkyra.
This year the popular contest was inspired by the wonderful archaeological exhibition 'KALLOS: The Supreme Beauty' and was held digitally for the second time.
Thousands of children aged 4-15 take part every year and this year there were 6,000 entries from Greece and abroad. This year, participants were asked to create an image that captured beauty, within the outline of a puzzle and the school gave warm congratulations to Mara Nika for her wonderful piece of art and Distinguished mention.
The online exhibition, which includes not only the winning entries, but those of all the participants, can be seen here.
