Man arrested on ferry boat to Corfu for bringing in heroin

CORFU. The man was arrested just after he had got on the boat and was found to have packages of heroin in his possession.
Corfu Drugs Squad arrested a foreign national on the Igoumenitsa - Corfu ferry boat on Wednesday evening in possession of drugs.
Following information received that the man was bringing heroin from Attica to Corfu, the police were able to find him on the ferry boat from Igoumenitsa to Corfu just after he had boarded.
He was found to be in possession of 343g heroin in packages and a mobile phone which were seized.
He was questioned by the Drugs Squad and will be taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
