CORFU. There were crowds of believers in Corfu Town today for the Sunday of Orthodoxy and the procession with Saint Theodora Augusta.
Sunday of Orthodoxy was celebrated today with Nektarios, Archbishop of Corfu, Paxos & the Diapontia Islands, leading the morning service at the Metropolitan Church.
Following the Church Service there was a procession with the sacred relics of Saint Theodora Augusta and her icons.
Taking part in the procession were the 'Old', 'Mantzaros'. Capodistrias', Korakiana and Gastouri Philharmonic Bands along with school pupils from Corfu Town.
Also present were crowds of believers, Corfu political representatives, Regional representatives and the Armed Forces.
