CORFU. Petition started by Let΄s Do This Corfu.
Let's Do This Corfu is a Facebook group encouraging people to reduce, reuse and recycle their waste. We heard about the opportunity for Corfu to get financial support and expertise to help become a Zero Waste Island and set up a petition here asking the municipalities to discuss this opportunity and other avenues of getting support.
Corfu's Green Spots have clearly shown that, given a system that people have confidence in, there is a great willingness to reduce the waste that is sent to landfill.
Our hope is that the Corfu municipalities will embrace Zero Waste so that Corfu continually
• reduces the waste it produces, and
• improves waste separation collection.
The petition asks the municipalities to discuss Corfu becoming a Zero Waste Island, to explore routes to get help in achieving this, and to share their vision for waste management with us.
