Regional Governor met with the chargé d’affaires from the Georgian Embassy in Greece

CORFU. The Ionian Islands Regional Governor Theodoros Galiatsatos met with the chargé d’affaires from the Georgian Embassy in Greece Κον Giorgi at his office in Corfu.

They discussed the potential for cooperation between Georgia and the Ionian Islands in trade and tourism.

Mr Galiatsatos said, "Building on the cultural relationship that has already developed between Corfu and Georgia, what we are now aiming for is further development in our economic relationship and in the future to have direct flights between Georgia and the Ionian Islands."

The chargé d’affaires from the Georgian Embassy Κον Giorgi was in Corfu as head of the delegation from the Embassy at the event organized by the Sinies Educational and Cultural Society, 'Meeting of Greek and Georgian Cultures in Corfu', in collaboration with the Georgian Institute in Athens, Caucasus Cultural Centre, the Greek Olympians Association and the Georgian Embassy in Greece.
