3-metre-deep ‘crater’ in the middle of the road in Temploni

CORFU. A crew from the Municipal Technical Services went this morning to examine the subsidence in the road in Akrokefalos, Temploni.
The subsidence occurred on Monday and left a 100 sq. metre crater with a depth of 3 metres at a crossroads not far from local houses, as can be seen from the photos.
The Municipality services have temporarily filled the hole, but geological experts will examine the area as something similar happened once before in 2010.
