As we come to the end of the year shop owners and customers are getting ready for the winter sales in 2020.
The winter sales begin every year on the second Monday of January and end at the end of February - on the 28th or 29th. This means that this year the sales begin on Monday 13 January and end on Saturday 29 February.
There are four sales periods during the year - two in the winter and two in the summer - with shops usually open on some Sundays during those periods.
