CORFU. Who can guarantee the workers΄ safety in these conditions?
Temploni Cultural Society has published new photos of work being carried out at night. The work 'arranging' the new piles of unburied refuse is being hectically carried out ahead of the upcoming court decision regarding the injunction that has been filed.
Society President Magda Papanikolopoulou posted: "Apart from the mountain of unburied waste already in the composting area a new one is being created right next to it bringing the total to over 70,000 tons. Obviously the environmental inspector didn't see this...
There is, however, also another crime - who is responsible for the PEOPLE who are working here? Who is guaranteeing their safety? Why are they being made to work in these conditions?
How much in need is someone to work here? Who are exploiting this need to continue the crime that is being committed in the name of of our tourist image?
