Mechanical failure in Corfu ferry boat

CORFU. The captain of the Nanti ship informed the Port Authority of a problem in the main port engine on Monday afternoon.
The mechanical failure was observed as the ferry boat was setting off for Igoumenitsa.
Following an inspection by the Port Authority Inspection Team the ship was prohibited from sailing until the engine is repaired and a certificate of seaworthiness is given.
The 29 passengers and 8 vehicles on board were put on another ferry boat.
