Lefkimmi΄s statement following the discussion at the Council of State about the landfill

ATHENS. The Lefkimmi Cultural Society Board are satisfied with the legal handling of the issue. Ahead of tomorrow΄s meeting at the Ministry of the Interior they issued the following statement.
Statement - 5 December 2018
"When matters are handled by people who have actually studied and looked into the moral and deterministic status then the only outcome is that the truth will emerge. When it isn't surrounded by generalisations, platitudes, bias, ignorance or lack of knowledge it leads to justice and social prosperity.
This form of truth was managed impeccably this morning by the Lefkimmi legal representatives in the Council of State courtroom. Many legally sound and justified arguments against only one from the other side: "We don't have anywhere to put the refuse! Violating the law is our only solution and we request political intervention". None of the arguments with which they had tried to influence public opinion through the media that what they were doing was legal were presented.
We already knew all of the above but following today's session the justice of what we are fighting for was further reinforced. It is an undisputable fact that if what some want to license as an environmental project goes into operation, it will be yet another felony against the environment and the public.
Ahead of tomorrow's meeting at the Ministry of the Interior we would like to state that we continue to oppose any act that contravenes our constitutional rights.
We would like to thank our lawyer Adamantios Basaras for his support of Lefkimmi's just fight but chiefly all the members of the public who believe in this court battle and are helping to make it happen."
