Ionian Islands Region to get more fire engines

ATHENS. The Civil Protection Minister signed the decision of the Fire Service Chief.
The Civil Protection Minister Olga Gerovassili signed the Fire Service Chief's decision to acquire a further 69 fire engines.
The estimated cost is 8,600,800 Euros and is to cover the needs of three regions - Ionian Islands, Eastern Macedonia & Thraki and Western Macedonia. The funding will come from the EU, the European Regional Development Fund, via the Regional Business Programmes (PEP) and from the Greek Programme of Public Investment.
Invitations to tender will be announced shortly.
