Integrated telemedicine system for Othoni island

CORFU. Othoni will have an integrated telemedicine system connected to the Hatzikostas Hospital in Ioannina together with a defibrillator by the end of June.
The system is a gift from the International Rotary Club.
In his announcement, the Deputy Mayor for Othoni, Theodoros Loukanaris said: "We started working on this in September 2017 and received the equipment at the beginning of 2018. The installation was delayed by bureaucracy regarding the delivery and memorandum of collaboration with the Health Region to which we belong.
Mr. Alexandros Tzomakas, director of the 2484 Rotary Region (Corfu-Epirus-Northern greece), told me that the programme is approved by the International Rotarians and has been funded by the 2484 Rotary District, the 9630 Rotary District in Australia and the International Rotary Club.
The International Rotarians programme also includes the other two islands, Erikoussa and Mathraki."
