This is what the inspection team from the Regional Environmental Department saw when they visited the landfill again two days ago.
In the meantime, the tender for the baling contract for the next 30 months has been called off by the Decentralized Administration and will be reannounced following negotiations - which means even more delays in the planning of the interim management.
The Temploni Cultural Society reported that waste is still being dumped in the 3rd cell - which had been closed but is now operating again - and that bales are buried under the piles of rubbish due to lack of space at the facility.
