Wake-up call: “Do something about the potholes or there will be casualties”

CORFU. There is a huge problem with the condition of the roads in Corfu. There are potholes everywhere which could cause accidents – even fatal ones.
A Corfu resident describes one such incident on the Facebook Page ‘Your complaints to the Mayor’ in which he/she warns of the dangers if the roads aren’t repaired.
According to the post:
“I don’t usually grumble, but in this case I am going to make an exception. Last night I fell victim to a small ‘crater’ on the street connecting M. Margaritis to I. Andreadi. As a result, I burst my tyre. At the tyre repair service I went to early in the morning, they told me that they had already had two flat tyres and hubcaps to repair before me that morning which had been from the exact same pothole. For God’s sake! Do something - even provisionally. If a motorbike falls into this pothole, the damage may not be only to hubcaps and tyres!!”Source: Aftodioikisi
