Lectures- Events

  • The Corfu Studies Society is organizing lectures with three award-winning authors, Filippos D. Drakontaidis, Dimitris Nollas and Giorgos Skapardonis. These lectures will be held from 10 to 12 November at The Solomos’ Museum (Mouragia).
             Admission Free.

  • On Sunday, November 12, 2017, the artist Alekos Fassianos will be granted honorary citizenship of Corfu. The ceremony will take place at 12.30 pm at the Old Town Hall.

  • Corfu Art Gallery presents ‘Eνα Σαββατο, Ένα Παραμυθι’ ‘A Saturday, A Fairytale’ for children. Our small friends will have the opportunity to draw and to learn our customs and traditions interactively. From 11:00 am to 13:00 pm

  • The Trekking Association is organizing a trek from Kentroma to Spinies. Participants can go and return from Kentoma with a pre-paid shuttle bus.
             Hiking time: 6 hours - Level: 3
             5 Euros for members and 7 Euros for non-members.
             Registration by Friday, 10 November at "The Scoutsway" ,
             Sebastaniou 34, Corfu Old Town.

§         The permanent exhibition at Corfu Art Gallery presents historical collections of paintings & engravings and follows the development of the visual arts in Corfu, from the 16th to 20th century.
      Opening Hours: Tuesday - Sunday, 10:00 - 16:00 (Monday closed).
§         Permanent exhibition titled "Greek Banknotes -Historical Testimonies "at the Banknote Museum of the Ionian Bank, near St Spyridon church.
§         Permanent map exhibition "Mapping with Corfu as reference point" at the Ionian University.
§         Corfu Art Gallery presents works of art by 19th and 20th century Corfiot painters.

§         Solomos Museum exhibition of paintings by Rena Cruise.
§         Museum of Asian Art (in the Old Palace): permanent exhibition of Japanese Art.
