Marquee to increase available space at Corfu Port

CORFU.Corfu Port Authorities are looking to obtain a marquee like this one at Piraeus Port.
The President and managing director of Corfu Port Authority, Spyros Stefanidis, will travel to Germany once again with a view to finding and ordering a marquee to cover an area of 1 stremma (1/4 acre).
Something similar has been in use for some time at Piraeus Port to satisfy the increased demand for space which occurs especially in the tourist high season and whenever there are large cruise ships in port. When Mr. Stefanidis met with cruise operators at the Hamburg Exhibition who are looking to make Corfu a home port, the increase in available space at Corfu Port was presented as a pre-condition. According to information from Corfu Port Authority, the main shareholder, TAIPED, has no objection to this investment.
