Corfu Lions Club two days of free eye tests a success

CORFU. This initiative is an important effort for prevention and the enhancement of eye health.
(Lions Club) The two-day ophthalmological screening organised by Corfu Lions Club was a great success. The initiative took place in two locations on the island: in Corfu Town and in Acharavi, where more than 70 people received free eye tests.
The screenings were conducted by volunteer doctors:
-
Dimitris Bouzoukis
-
Petros Emmanouilidis
-
Kostas Pangkratis
The doctors volunteered their time, working tirelessly and continuously, with the aim of offering quality care to those in need. This initiative is an important step in the prevention and promotion of eye health.
Bringing the Mobile Ophthalmological Screening Unit to Corfu was a central goal of the Lions Club. Its realisation required planning, coordination and the collective effort of all Club members, and it would not have been possible without the support of friends, sponsors and local organisations on the island.
Corfu Lions Club continues its work with consistency and enthusiasm, aiming to support the local community, assist vulnerable groups and promote volunteerism.
Because when we join forces, we see more clearly.
On behalf of the Board of Directors
Vasileios Karagiannis
President of the Lions Club of Corfu
