Little Picassos adorn white concrete benches along Roda coastal road with paintings
CORFU. The children, who are from Dimitra Klironomou΄s Art Workshop, using materials provided by private individuals (paints, brushes, etc.), joyfully and eagerly expressed their creative talents, using the white concrete benches of the coastal road as their canvas.
On Thursday afternoon, September 5th, the outdoor art event for children, organised by Roda 'Odysseas' Cultural Societey, on the eastern coastal road of Roda, as part of this summer's festivities, was completed under the guidance of artist Dimitra Klironomou.
The children, who are from Dimitra Klironomou΄s Art Workshop, using materials provided by private individuals (paints, brushes, etc.), joyfully and eagerly expressed their creative talents, using the white concrete benches of the coastal road as their canvas.
Their creations, which added colour and beauty to the urban environment, were warmly received by all the attending visitors, passersby, and owners of nearby businesses—Coral Hotel Roda, The Brandy Shop Roda, Jon Banos, and The Boathouse Roda—who expressed their admiration at the result and thanked the Society for its initiative, with some even expressing their desire to contribute to similar activities in the future.
At the event, which turned into a small celebration, the Society offered the children hats and t-shirts, and served all attendees homemade lemonade and cake.
