Athenagorio Primary School takes part in World Animal Day

CORFU. On the occasion of World Animal Day, an event was organised by the Athenagorio 4th Experimental Primary School.

Trainers from the Corfu Animal Protection Society visited the school, accompanied by three special four-legged guests, to discuss animal rights and the care they deserve.

They spoke with the children and answered all their questions and concerns regarding the care of animals. They taught us that respect is an important value we should all show to every living being on our planet.

"We love all the animals in the world because they have a soul and a heart that beats only for love! We adopt, we don't buy!" were the messages in the videos that the children watched, which highlighted their love for animals, a love without limits, and they learned that all creatures deserve a beautiful life with love and care.

There were also artistic activities, video and animation presentations, and discussions about animals in zoos and circuses, animal rescue, guide dogs for the blind, police dogs, and the exploitation of animals for the sake of science (such as using snakes for the production of drugs).
