Referee sent off his assistant and replaced him with one of the fans!

CEPHALONIA. The unbelievable happened at the Karyvomilo football ground in Cephalonia during a local match between Sami and Eikosimia (‘Twenty-one’) according to inkefalonia.gr. The referee, Mr. Kiosis, sent off one of his two assistants!
The incident happened at half-time when the second assistant allegedly started swearing at one of the home team players.
The official observer at the match saw what happened and things started to heat up. There was an hour’s delay before the second half started, with one of the fans, Mr. Vitoratos, eventually taking on the role of assistant following the agreement of both sides.
The match was played out normally, but surely must go into the books as one of the most bizarre incidents in football – and not just on a local level!
