CORFU. Archelon invites us to two unique public sea turtle nest excavations at Kanoula Beach in Corfu — Friday, 28 and Saturday, 29 August.
Have you ever wondered what happens inside a sea turtle nest after the hatchlings emerge? Archelon (the Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece) opens a window into the fascinating world of nature and invites you to experience an exciting and educational event up close!
The public nest excavations take place immediately after the hatchlings have emerged, allowing us to collect valuable data: how many hatchlings were born and how many managed to make the great journey to the sea. At the same time, children and adults alike will have the opportunity to learn all about the life cycle of the sea turtle, as well as the important conservation work carried out by Archelon.
