Bicycles take over Corfu Town thanks to Orthopedalia and Stirixi

The 2026 Panhellenic Cycling Rally was successfully held on Sunday, May 10. The event has been organised across Greece since 2008 and has taken place annually in Corfu since 2009 by Orthopedalia, in recent years co-organised with the ‘Stirixi’ association.

The ride started from Pentofanaro and followed a route of approximately 5 kilometres around Corfu Town.

Many members of Orthopedalia took part, along with numerous families and their children, which was one of the event’s main goals.

The Cycling Rally was carried out with the assistance of the Red Cross, which was present at Pentofanaro, as well as volunteer rescuers on bicycles throughout the duration of the ride. It was also supported by the Corfu Traffic Police, whose contribution proved instrumental in the effective organisation of a safe cycling event.

Finally, we would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the Primary and Secondary Education Directorates of Corfu for their support, as well as to the Municipality of Central Corfu for its assistance with the organisation and for lending bicycles to participants who did not have their own.
