CORFU. A highly symbolic gesture on this day, dedicated to the victims of the Jewish community of our island and worldwide.
By illuminating the Old Town Hall (San Giacomo) on Monday, January 26, the Municipality of Central Corfu is joining the international #WeRemember campaign for International Holocaust Remembrance Day, on the January 27 anniversary.
With this initiative, Corfu honours the memory of the members of the Corfu Jewish community who perished in the concentration camps and stands alongside the international community in the effort to preserve historical truth.
A gesture of profound symbolism on this day, dedicated to the victims of the Jewish community of our island and throughout the world.
