Online meeting of 1st High School pupils with MEP Elena Kountoura

(Corfu 1st High School) On the occasion of Europe Day and as part of the "European Parliament Ambassador School" (EPAS) programme, Corfu 1st High School held a special online event on Wednesday, May 14.
Pupils had the opportunity to listen live to Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Ms. Elena Kountoura.
During her speech, Ms. Kountoura spoke about the protection of human rights, gender equality, sustainable tourism development, the environment, and the participation of young people in democratic processes.
With warmth and enthusiasm, Ms. Kountoura shared her experiences from the European Parliament and encouraged young people to become active citizens.
The event is part of the school's activities as an EPAS school and reaffirms its commitment to fostering pupils’ European identity and civic engagement.
